MOM-Z 2013

Last week in some snowy day (for Turkish not for me) in Istanbul I participated very nice event called "MOM-Z 2013".

Mom-Z is a brand created by a company called Fikir Annesi (Idea Mother). Fikir Annesi's CEO, Pınar Reyhan Özyigit has been working for 13 years on communication with moms. Fikir Annesi is an agency creating projects in this area using mothers' unlimited powers. Mom-Z is a fine tuned activity based on the need for a platform to develop women after they become mothers. Therefore, Fikir Annesi is supporting moms, joining brands, products, services and social responsibility projects which care and support mothers under one umbrella.

Who is Mom-Z? If a mother's child is born after 2000, those children are generation Z.

In Mom-Z event, mothers, industry professionals, strategists were speaking about "new family". What we are waiting from a "new family", what is a structure and relationships in it? There was talk about how "mother" and "motherhood" concept has changed in the last 10 years. How digital the world, the families, mothers, fathers and children have become. How the technology is important and connected to our lives. There was a lot of important and sometimes scary statistics and resarch from  MOM Central.

Maria Guera - MOM Cenral Vice-President

Stacy DeBroff - MOM Central CEO

And some resarch about Turkey from Megan Maguire MOM Central & Milenials Co.

There was a Case Box speeches made by Philips Avent, creater of Mother School (Anne Okulu), with blogger mom Hamile ve Anne they make very nice work.

Also Canbebe, brand of diapers and cosmetics for babies, and Nestle Pure Life presented their projects. In Nestle You Tube account you can watch short videos about their work.

Very importent topics was touched by journalist and Father Z, Serdar Kuzuloğlu.

In funny way he showed how time had change. How stress and busy we are to enjoy our life. How digital World grab us. He showed this photo. I saw it it before...and It makes me scared!

Intresting for me was the Panel: Content is the Queen. It was a chat between 5 specialist: Temel Aksoy- marketing consultant, Rima Erdemir from Medya Net, organizer Pınar Reyhan Özyiğit, Natalie Yeşilbahar from Vitringez.com and Mehmet Subaşı- Vodaco Agency.

Another also nice and beautiful, because of 4 Turkish women was a chat about "New Digital Women". Ayşe Tolga - aromatherapist and actress, Ayşe Kucuroğlu a business woman, Vatan newspaper writer and mom of 5, Özlem Gürses a tv presenter and a psychologist Tansu Oskay, was taking about technology in their life...until another celebrity didn't come to the room and took all the atenttion. Shame!

In the end MOM-Z gave awards to selected names of mothers in five separate categories, brands and services. One of them was Gülben Ergen, founder of Çocuklar Gülsün Diye foundation.

It was very good organization, shame that because of snow people didn't participated more crowded.
Mayby next year:)
