Quince Dessert

I know that there are many people who never saw a quince in their life. For those who have, it is a rather difficult fruit to deal with. It has a very hard flesh which makes it very difficult to eat, a thick skin which will make it difficult to swallow. Well, you can make a great dessert from it. It is very tasty and easy to make.

Ingredients:
- One quince (a mid-size one will be around 250g)
- 1 glass of cold water
- 6 table spoons of cyristal sugar
- 6pcs of dried cloves
- 1 tablespoon vanilla powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup of clotted cream

Method:

- Peel off the skin of the quince.
- Cut it into 6 slices: First cut in the middle lengthwise and cut each piece into three.
- Take the seeds out so you will have 6 clean pieces.
- Place 6 pieces in a pan. Place a clove on each one.
- Put 1 teaspoon of vanilla powder on each quince slice.
- Place a full tablespoon of cyristal sugar on each quince slice.
- Slowly pour a glass of water to the bottom of the pan.
- Cover the pan with a lid, but leave some room for vapor to escape.
- Slowly cook the quince slices until they get really soft and the water finishes leaving a thick syrup on the bottom of the pan.
- Take each quince slice and place on a dessert plate. Let to cool.
- Once quince is cool, place a spoon of clotted cream on each one and decorate with cinnamon and the syrup.

This is a very good dessert for the winter evenings. I recommend you to keep one of these fruits at home and since the other ingredients are easy to find in the house, you can make a dessert anytime you want one. Start cooking this before you start cooking your dinner so they will be cool by the end of the dinner to eat.

Enjoy ;)
