One day in January, the same when I painted my hair in blue:) more about it in post here, I participate a fashion chat in Istanbul Fashion Academy in Nişantaşı "ALL, Loves Fashion by ENMODA.COM". The chat was (should be) about new trends in the fashion press. The moderator was a Mert Aslan and the speakers: Bahar Kongel, Debora Zakuto, Pınar Çelikel.
Their work is connected to fashion, beauty and journalism. I don't know if the weather wasn't good ( it was sunny ) or everybody woke up in bad mood. It also wasn't crowded and atmosphere in the meeting wasn't warm at all. The chat was always going to negative way, then coming back to a bit nicer things and then again being sometimes even aggressive. I wanted to leave few times, or say something...but I decided to stay and wait, for something good.
Not only hear how bad EVERYTHING IS! How Turkey is full of bad blogs about fashion without understanding FASHION (the Lagerfeld story we heard even twice) how bad the magazines are, how social media are full of "not stylish" people, how all of them want to be famous or how everything what is American is great. There wasn't examples of this all bad staff, eather then good.
Ok, good for sure was/is Bahar Kongel magazine Blank Mag...I expected more. I was so exited and thought I will have story to tell about Turkish fashion to Ewa Wojciechowska page. It didn't happened. I am not stylist, fashion editor or owner of design magazine. I don't know much about fashion. I only I like "fashion". And wanted to have Turkish point of view about it from specialist. It wasn't meeting for me. I continue with my mommy seminars, cooking easy food, make crazy hair and discover new places in Istanbul and Turkey :)
