Food in Athens

Souvlaki - Piazza Duomo
This is like shish-kebab from Turkey.
Actually, every food in Greece is like some other food in Turkey,
not as fatty, a bit tastier, and bigger portions...
and of course, pork is in the menu.

Restaurant in Acropolis Museum
Spagetti with mussels, and octopus.
This is named as one of best places to eat.
Definitely the best food I ate in a museum :)

Ouzo at Diogenes in Plaka
Ouzo is like Raki, but with less anise, making it sweeter.
Drinking method: Same. With water and ice.

O Tzitzikas & O Mermigkas
Oh, this was the zenith of taste in Athens.
Small restaurant, lots of food... It is a good thing we did not bite off some fingers...
Bottom left, chicken on kadayif (yummy)...

The feast at Daphne's in Plaka
"Bayram" for my taste buds, finish off with the chocolate souffle
and masticha liquor :P

Ice cream and Latte
lots of ice-cream shops and cafes down the road from Acropolis Museum towards Hadrian's Gate
whatever the name of the road is :)
Perfect for an evening stroll

Apple Pie with Ice cream and Cream :)
This was in a small cafe in Agora, the portion was big enough for 4 of us.
Our first choice was the cake, but he said "the cake is Greek Cake, Revani"
we smiled and asked for the apple pie.

Novotel Restaurant
Killer portions. It will kill you if you eat a whole portion by yourself.
Up: Pork Gyros (Döner), Bottom: Pork Steak
There was a portion of spagetti bolognese we got for the kids, it could feed the seven dwarfs :)
